The heavy hitters of the day were positioned at the entrance of the castle and Luxury Collection by Auto-Outlet (a bit of a mouthful I know) took the cake here. They brought three very rare cars, in Finlands standards at least, that had already been on display in the middle of Helsinki causing quite a stir.
The most common car in of the three was a red 488GTB which normally stands out nicely but when parked next to a bright blue Huracan Spyder and a 570S it looked a bit dull. The 570S is the only one in Finland and one of two McLarens over all. The Huracan (which was my favorite) looked very mean in the blue color and it’s the only one in Finland. The trio was clearly the center of attention even with a hard competition from Aston Martins and Ferraris, but that didn’t last long.

Finnish sportscar drivers at Vanajanlinna

There was a really nice welcoming feel at the gathering as we walked in to the main parking area for the attendants.
The first car that caught my eye was Pasi Mikkola’s (IG: tyfon2jz) beautiful red supra that was parked at the entrance with the hood open showing off the clean 2JZ engine. Not a bad start of the day at all.
We then proceeded to walk up and down the street to check out the rest of the cars and it’s easy to say it was packed. The usual parking area on the lawn was too soft for car parking so it was closed restricting the parking space a lot.
I was surprised over how diverse the turnout was, from old Citroëns to this almost legendary Nissan Pulsar GTI-R that I never thought I would come across. I’ve seen people drooling over these hot hatches on online forums and now I get them. With the SR20DET from the 200sx combined with four-wheel drive it was one of the fastest in its class and still compete pretty well against the newer cars with a 0-100kph time of 5.6 seconds at best.

What I (and many others) had been waiting for the whole day was two raging bulls straight from Italy that were supposed to arrive at 1 P.M but they arrived over an hour late which was unfortunate for people that had to leave early. The two Lamborghinis stood out like sore thumbs in the Finnish landscape, like two very majestic thumbs. The first one was a Murcielago painted in Verde Itacha and the second one was a Chiaro blue Diablo VT roadster. The rumble of the v12’s filled the street and turning heads all the way to the entrance which was undeniably the highlight of the day so it felt right to wrap it up here. Count me in for going next year too unless it crashes with something even more exciting.
